George Rogers has spent 40 years helping to create, build, and protect great brands. He is currently the Executive Chairman of Optimal, the industry’s leading performance marketing partner. He is also the Principal of Tidewatch Advisory which specializes in Media, Research and Advertising consulting. George most recently was the Chief Client Officer at the Vice Media Group and the Chief Commercial Officer at Refinery29 where he helped engineer the acquisition of Refinery29 into the Vice Media Group in November 2019.
From 2011 to 2018, George was the Chief Client Officer for WPP responsible for Global Business Development across the WPP group, reporting to WPP’s Founder and CEO. In this role, George was responsible for building relationships with global clients and new business prospecting worth $6.5 billion
Prior to joining WPP, George was at Massachusetts-based Mullen as Executive Vice President, Group Director. During his eight-year tenure, he grew its relationship with General Motors, as well as a wide variety of non-automotive accounts including Stanley Tools, XM Radio and U.S. Department of Defense. Before Mullen, George spent 13 years at Arnold Worldwide in Boston, where he helped win the Volkswagen North American account in 1995. As the Account Director on VW, he introduced that now famous “Drivers Wanted” campaign, which went on to receive the gold Effie for overall advertising effectiveness in 1997 and 1998.
George is married with three children. He is a Trustee Emeritus of his Alma Mater, Connecticut College in New London, CT.
